The
Supreme Source by Chöegyal Namkhai Norbu
This Dzogchen teaching is presented through one of its most
ancient texts, the tantra Kunjed Gyalpo or "the King who creates
everything" - a personification of the primordial state of
enlightenment. This tantra is the fundamental scripture of the Semde
or "Nature of Mind" tradition of Dzogchen and is the most
authoritative source for understanding the Dzogchen view. The oral
commentary gives easy insight into the depths of these teachings
from a practical point of view.

The
Crystal and the Way of Light by Chöegyal Namkhai Norbu
This book examines the spiritual path from the Dzogchen point
of view, discussing the base, path and fruit. Rinpoche describes
his education and how he met his spiritual master. By interweaving
his life story with the teachings, he both sets Dzogchen in its
traditional context and reveals its powerful contemporary relevance.

The Cycle of Day and Night by Namkhai Norbu
Central to Dzogchen, the "Great Perfection", is contemplation
-- the immediate experience of the primordial state of the individual,
the unconditioned nature of the mind. This nature of the mind transcends
the specific contents of mind, the incessant flow of thoughts reflecting
our social, cultural, and psychological conditioning. Actual methods
are given for entering into contemplation and integrating it with
our activities during the 24 hour cycle of day and night.

is necessary is that we re-awaken and remain in our true nature. Through

of the self-perfected state that lies beyond our habitual anguish
and confusion, and remain in this uninterrupted flow of contemplation,
completely relaxed but fully present, through all activities.

The
Golden Letters by John Reynolds and Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche
The essence of Garab Dorje's message is found in "The Three Statements
that Strike the Essential Points." In the nineteenth century,
the famous master Patrul Rinpoche wrote a brilliant commentary on
these three statements together with the practices relating to them.
These important Dzogchen texts are translated here from Tibetan.
